The Passport to Your National Parks was started by Eastern National in 1986 to create excitement about the Parks. Nearly all of the National Park units, and many of the National Park Service's affiliated areas, have one or more National Park Passport Stamps (cancellation stamps). The stamps are similar in nature to passport stamps stamped in a traveler's national passport. The stamps serve to commemorate each park visit.
